Covid 19 Health & Safety Policy July 2020
LEAF has implemented an updated Heath & Safety policy to ensure the safety of staff and guests regarding Covid 19. This policy is in line with government guidelines and ensures that we can deliver a high level of service in a safe environment. Some of our venues will also have outside seating areas available to guests which will be allocated on a walk in basis. Some table reservations will be taken for inside dining and drinking and some tables will be left for walk ins.
Our host will make guests aware of our revised service style on arrival, allocate a suitable table, and take contact details from one member of each party (which will be held for 21 days and will not be used for any other purposes). This is being collected to assist the NHS track and trace service for tracing close recent contacts of anyone testing positive for coronavirus.
We will offer table service so that guests may remain seated as much as possible during their visit.
A one way in/out system will be in operation, detailed through floor signage
A reduced menu will be in operation to facilitate minimal staffing allowing for safe working practises
Tables are spaced at 1 metre distance
Maximum table size of 6
Tables will be clear and unlaid. Cutlery/disposable menus/single use condiments are to be brought as needed/requested
Contactless payments will be encouraged
Children must be supervised at all times as they must remain seated to ensure distancing
Before returning to work staff will fill out a signed declaration to confirm that they are fit to return to work and that they, and people in their households are not displaying symptoms of Covid 19
As staff arrive at work, they must present themselves to the manager on duty to take a temperature check. Any staff member with a high temperature will be sent home immediately.
Staff will socially distance in line with government guidelines (1 metre) wherever possible, work stations will be set up to enable this.
Staff will make use of alcohol hand gel (provided) before work, regularly during work (20 minute intervals or more regularly as necessary) and after work. Staff must also wash hands regularly.
Staff are trained in our updated health & safety policy and new service style
Staff will work in “bubbles” so they minimise their contact with the wider team. We will implement staggered start times where possible so that team members can be temperature checked and briefed individually before they start work.
The wearing of face coverings is not compulsory, but they will be made available to staff who would prefer to wear one
Food preparation areas will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised every 2 hours
Alcohol hand gel stations placed around the entrance to customer toilets & entrances
